Hey Ya

So, basically I'm obsessed with this acoustic rendition of "Hey Ya" by Outkast sung by Obadiah Parker. A guy in Mr. and Mrs. Greek sang it as his talent and I was determined to find it somewhere, and I finally came across it! Check it out!

Tacky Christmas Cocktail is a Success!

So last night was a great success! Everyone's costumes were so creative, but my favorite costume was worn by Miss Mandy Baker (also the new social chair for ADPi!). She wore her Christmas tree costume from when she was in a Christmas play at her church when she was younger. There were presents, santas, elves, and even a snow angel. I didn't know ADPi could be so creative! I think I'm finally getting in the Christmas mood now and cannot wait for exams to be over. I'm trying my best to get straight A's -- something I've yet to accomplish in college. So far so good!

Gearing up for Tacky Christmas Cocktail

ADPi's Tacky Christmas Cocktail is tonight and my friends and I have tried to come up with the most creative outfits we could think of. Mary Hayden and I are wearing high waisted tree skirts, Spencer is wearing a tacky Christmas sweatshirt, and her boyfriend Ryan is wearing a home made sweatshirt that he poked battery-operated lights all through. Christina is wearing a fashionable red snowflake "onesie" and Micaela is wearing some red velvet boxer shorts with white cotton trim. I'm not sure what Andrew will be wearing yet, so I guess I will have to rely on element of suprise... but I did buy him a Christmas tie from the dollar store that sings "Jingle Bells" that I'm sure will top off his outfit. :)

I can't believe tonight is that last social function I will ever be planning for ADPi! It is bittersweet, but either way I am excited about spending one more night out with my friends before exams take over and everyone leaves for Christmas break.

Rainy Day in Wilmington

So thus begins my first blogging experience... and what a day to write about. It's pouring down rain today in Wilmington (imagine that), and what better way to walk to class than in a monsoon! I have been inside of Cameron Hall now for almost 3 hours and my jeans are still soaked from top to bottom and my hair is doing that frizzy wavy thing that I can't stand. Needless to say I was upset at first and felt that if this was any indication of how my day was going to go, it was going to be a long and miserable day.

However, after I stepped back to realize that everyone else was in the same boat, it turned into more of a laughing matter looking to see who had the wettest clothes walking into class. It is important to look at the positives on days like today, like the fact that today is the last day of class and there are 23 days until Christmas! And who knows, maybe there will even be a rainbow :)
